Comedian

Julia Colasanti has been doing stand-up comedy since 2013. She’s performed at notable venues all over the country like Laugh Factory Chicago, Vermont Comedy Club, and the Paramount Theater to name a few. Along the way, she's opened for some of the greats like Geoffrey Asmus, Amy Miller, Casey Balsham, Yamaneika Saunders, and more. She performed her first headlining gig, "Turning into My Mother," in 2019 at Big Tommy's Comedy Club and she is currently touring her new hour, "Well Read Woman."

In 2022, she scripted and staged "Penist the Musical" about a gambler with a debt to fill, a long lost love, and a demon penis trapped inside a piano unlocked only when the keys are tickled. The play included original songs, choreography, and a rock-hard plot. In 2025, she wrote, produced, and performed an hour-long game show called "@ 9PM" inspired by Taylor Tomlinson's "@fter Midnight" with live contestants and topical questions based on local and national headlines.

Beyond a comedian and writer, she's also a producer. While venues were shut down during the pandemic, she produced "Pop Up Stand Up" shows in public, outdoor spaces throughout Vermont raising over $800 for local charities. In 2023, she started producing monthly, themed comedy shows at Lincolns in Burlington, VT where the comics came in costume with a new set (herself included) and the crowd was known to hoot and holler. That show won "Best Show in Vermont" in 2025. She currently produces Don't Tell Comedy in the area.

New Special

Julia Colasanti's new comedy special, "Well Read Woman," covers babies, abortion, and all the smutty bits in between. While it was made for women, men seem to thoroughly enjoy it — just like a vibrator. Keep an eye on her social handles to see when she's touring live near you!
